It happens to us all at one time or another. You haven’t backed-up your files for ages, you need to get your coursework/accounts handed in and bang! Your drive or USB stick stops working. Or the unthinkable happens and you accidentally delete an important file or 50.

We can recover data in most circumstances, but be aware that sometimes data is unrecoverable depending on how it has been lost/corrupted.

Our data recovery starts at £65 but may cost more depending on the level and type of data loss and/or the capacity of the device.

Information

What Happens Next

EZ Computers Ltd will respond to your Data Recovery request within 24 hours Monday to Friday. Please do not send us any item until we have supplied a quote for the Data Recovery and a Booking ID. Any item received without a valid Booking ID will be refused delivery and returned to sender.

Shipping Advice

Please ensure your device is well packaged prior to sending to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage caused while your device is in transit to us.

Payment

On completion of the Data Recovery, we will contact you to arrange payment. Your device will be held until payment is received in full. A VAT invoice will be sent to your email address with payment details for your records. Any device left with us for Data Recovery which remains unpaid after 6 months will be deemed unwanted and the item disposed of. Please note that if payment is made via PayPal we can only ship to the address used in the PayPal transaction. See PayPal’s Terms and Conditions, Section 11.6 for further information.

Extended Data Recovery

Due to the nature of remote diagnostics, some Data Recovery services may require a more intensive recovery process than initially determined. We will contact you to advise of any increase in the charge for the recovery process, before proceeding. Any device deemed to be beyond economical repair may be returned to you for a return fee of £9.99. Alternatively, we can dispose of your unwanted device free of charge if required.

Your Data

Please be aware that we do not accept responsibility for any loss of data however so caused. Ensure that any data you require is securely backed-up prior to shipping your device to us. We offer a data backup service for all Repair/Laptop Screen Replacement/Virus Cleanup requests, although this may not be possible under certain circumstances and does not guarantee data safety. Please indicate in your request if a data backup is required.
